Gardens open to public in aid of hospice funds

There is an opportunity to visit some fabulous gardens opening to the public this weekend to raise funds for Katharine House Hospice.

Broughton Grange gardens on Wykham Lane open on Saturday, June 13 between 10am and 4pm where visitors can view the spaces set within 25 acres of rolling countryside and include walled gardens, ponds, orchards, an arboretum, knot garden and wild flower meadows.

There will be teas and cakes, a plant sale, hospice stall and there is ample parking. Some areas are not suitable for wheelchairs, being steep and uneven. Guide dogs only. Admission is £7, to include a map of the grounds, with children admitted free.

Broughton Castle will be opening its gardens on Sunday, 14 2pm and 5pm. These impressive gardens include lawns, topiary, herbaceous borders and climbing roses. Ample parking is available, as well as a tea room and hospice stall.

Admission is £5, children admitted free.
