Dogs of all shapes and sizes and newborn lambs were just some of the attractions at Sulgrave Manor’s May Day celebration and family fun dog show.
Hundreds of people descended on the ancestral home of the family of first US president George Washington, to enjoy a fun family day out.
As well as the dog show and lambs, visitors also watched Morris dancers and listened to live music and then watched the crowning of the May Queen by Brackley mayor Jim Broomfield.
Event manager Charlotte Taylor, said: “Everyone was dancing in the courtyard. The lambs came from a local farm and the children could pet them. The dog show was very successful and hilarious with a waggiest tail category.
“Despite the weather being temperamental, there was a good turnout.
“It was a beautiful day and positive for the village overall.”
This is the third May Day event to be held at the manor.
