The woods have come to the Horton Hospital following a refurbishment of the children’s ward.
The woodland theme is designed to provide young patients with a more positive environment. Zoe Butler, Horton children’s ward manager, said: “We now have a much better environment, focused on children and their comfort. The area is also much more family-friendly and we have already had some great feedback. The difference it has made to the patients, their families and the staff so far is brilliant.”
To celebrate, an Easter party funded by the Starlight Children’s Foundation was held for local and long term patients and their families.
