Firefighters called to Banburyshire farmhouse fire

Firefighters were called to the farm near Epwell at about 8.40am today (Thursday).

Firefighters from Banbury, Deddington and Chipping Norton are currently at a farm near Epwell following a fire this morning (Thursday).

Four fire engines were accompanied by two specialist appliances from Eynsham and Oxford after they were called to the scene at about 8.40am.

The fire started in a farmhouse and firefighters have managed to contain it into the roof space. They are also using an aerial ladder platform to enable them to cut away the roof space and make sure the fire is completely out.

Crews are currently assisting the farmowner and are expected to remain on the scene for the next few hours.
