Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service were called to a serious road traffic collision involving two cars at around 4.30 in the afternoon on Wednesday July 20.
Emergency responders from Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance and crews from Warwickshire and Gloucestershire fire services were also called.
Incident commander Chris Wilson said: “A report of three people trapped in a car following a collision had been received but as the occupants were dazed and disoriented, the address was vague and crews could not establish their whereabouts easily until our control centre managed to get further information from them and establish the nearest landmark. Crews then knew exactly where to go and we all met just near to the junction opposite the Rollright stones’.
“The three casualties were rescued using hydraulic cutting gear and handed over to medical teams on the scene. Thankfully there were no serious injuries.
“There were several county crews involved and I would like to thank Warwickshire and Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service’s for their valuable assistance at the incident, and South Central Ambulance for their sterling medical treatment of the casualties at the scene”
