Fire at Hook Norton destroys a number of sheds - firefighters renew appeals for care in dry weather
Chipping Norton brigade responded to the fire which was one of several incidents on Saturday related to the hot weather.
A spokesman for the service said: “Our crew worked tirelessly all day (on Saturday) attending four fires and working in incredibly hot conditions.

Hide Ad"Our first call was to a bonfire in Church Enstone then from there, the crew were mobilised to several sheds on fire in Hook Norton, followed by two large field fires, one in Stow - working with our colleagues from Gloucestershire - and the second in Drayton at just gone 4pm.”
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service appealed to the public to be extra careful with cigarette disposal and wait until the hot weather has passed to have bonfires.
"Stay vigilant for any signs of fire, and call 999 if a fire is found,” the service said.
