A couple from Banbury have completed the London Bupa 10k run in memory of their best friend’s son.
Matt Hewitt and Kelly Fulford completed the event on May 25 for the charity SSNAP (Supporting Sick Newborns and their Parents) and in particular Gemma and Luke Froude’s son Finnley, who died aged just four and a half months in 2010.
They have raised £370 which will go towards the £75,000 already raised by Finnley’s parents, who hold a fundraising day in their son’s memory every year in Banbury.
Mr Hewitt said: “We want to help this charity as much as we can for what they do. It was a big achievement finishing the 10k run and a proud day. We would like to thank all of the support we had and all the donations.”
