Families can try out golf at People’s Park, Banbury

Golf professional Mark McGeehan is satisfying his passion for teaching the sport by encouraging children and families.

He is will be running open taster sessions on Saturday at People’s Park, Banbury from 2pm-3pm and Heythrop College, Enstone from 11am - noon.

There will also be a HSBC junior Playday at Peoples Park on July 27 from 10am-3pm.

The free lessons kick off the launch of a children’s golf academy at Cherwell Edge.

He said: “My real passion is in teaching and passing on what I have learnt over the past 20 years. Putting a smile on golfers faces is very rewarding. I have a systematic approach to coaching and the pupil receives full support to achieve their goals.”

Mr McGeehan has been acknowledged for his coaching skills through inclusion as a Today’s Golfer TG Top 50 coach.
