Pippa Mawle of In Touch Marketing, based on the Vantage Business Park, said the tree made a huge crash as it fell.

She said: “We were in a meeting but we went out and I took some photos. It was fortunate that it must have fallen slowly so drivers were able to stop. It’s a very busy road.

“We rang the fire brigade but they said it was Oxfordshire Highways. They came out and they’re still sawing it up. The police are there too. Everyone is finding other ways to get to where they want to go.”
