An estate agency in Banburyshire visited two primary schools to hand out early Christmas presents following a festive competition.

Hamptons International launched its ‘Draw a Christmas Cracker’ and ‘Decorate the Christmas Cracker’ competition for all children at Brailes CoE Primary School and Deddington CoE Primary School.

Staff from the estate agency in Market Place, Banbury visited Brailes to hand out gifts for the winners on December 11 and staff from the Deddington branch in the Market Place visited the village school on December 12.

Chris Scott, manager at Hamptons in Banbury, said: “We are delighted to announce the winners of the Draw a Christmas Cracker competition/Decorate a Christmas Cracker competition. They are Bessie Swetman, five, and Izzy Maaz, ten.

“Both showed huge creativity and we are pleased to spread some festive cheer through this competition.”

Members of the public voted for the winner by posting the name of their favourite artists in the ballot box located in the branches. The designs were promoted in the front window throughout November and December.

All the lucky winners were awarded an art kit, while £200 was donated to each school.

Simon Jackson, director at the Deddington branch, said: “We had a fantastic response from everyone. All the parents from the school came into the office, which was really nice; we feel part of the village and the competition is always well received.”

The winners at Deddington were Millie, six, Daisy-May, eight, and Matthew, eight.
