Believed to be Banbury’s oldest resident, Edith Warwick was all smiles on Monday as she celebrated her incredible 105th birthday.

Mrs Warwick was born in Williamscot on March 16, 1910 and after doing service during the Second World War she worked at Wardington Manor for about eight years.

She married her husband Caleb and they had a daughter called Sally. She has one granddaughter, Claire, and four great-grandchildren, David, Lee, Lewis and Daniel.

Mrs Warwick has lived at Lark Rise Care Centre in Prescott Close, Banbury since December 2011 and for her birthday a special cake was delivered by Looby Loo Cake Company. Staff and residents joined together to sing her happy birthday.
