Two friends from Banbury are in the middle of a 192-mile walk to raise money for the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) following the recent Nepal earthquake.

James Taylor, of Broughton Grounds Farm in Broughton, set off with his friend Oliver Evans over the Bank Holiday weekend to travel along Wainwright’s Walk, from St Bees near the Irish Sea to Robin Hood’s Bay in North Yorkshire.

The pair have raised more than £1,350 already and Mr Evans said: “We’re three days in our 11-day walk and it is going well. But as anyone who has done it will tell you, there are some pretty steep climbs and the path isn’t always clear!”
