Three lanes on the M40 have now reopened between junctions 11 (Banbury) and 12 (Gaydon) following a multi-vehicle collision today (Monday).
Police were called at about 12.50pm to the northbound carriageway after reports of a six-car crash, but when they arrived only four cars were involved. They included a BMW, Mercedes and Mini.
The three lanes were closed following the crash, with the occupants of the cars involved suffering minor injuries. The lanes reopened at about 2pm, but traffic delays are still expected.
