Deddington stroke survivor's festival dubbed a '˜huge success'

A festival to support young stroke survivors has been described as a huge success by the organiser.

Jo Cross, from Clifton, organised the festival in Deddington on September 15, to raise awareness having suffered a stroke in 2016 at the age of 36.

With help from lots of businesses, fellow stroke survivors and family, Jo managed to arrange everything for the Chances festival in a matter of months.

“Thank you to everyone else who helped in some shape or form along the Chances 2018 journey,” she said.

The total raised is yet to be fully counted but the money will go to Oxford Centre for Enablement, The Stroke Association, Different Strokes.

The private event was so popular that Jo has already decided to do it all again next year but with the public invited this time.
