A cyclist has died after a collision with a car in Bicester.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision which occurred on Wednesday (Jan 15) at about 5.40am on the B4100 near Stoke Lyne.

A black Kia Picanto was involved in a collision with a black mountain bike.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "Sadly, the rider of the mountain bike, a 38-year-old man, died as a result of the incident.

"No one else was injured, and no arrests have been made."

Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based at Bicester Howes Lane, said: "This incident has tragically resulted in a man being killed, and I am appealing for anyone who saw it occur to get in touch.

"If you saw either the car or bicycle prior to the collision, or have any dash cam footage which you think could help our investigation, please call us on 101, quoting reference number 43200015510."
