Woman slaps man in People’s Park

At about 1am on Sunday June 19, the victim entered People’s Park via the Church House entrance and proceeded to walk through the centre of the park. When reaching the memorial in the middle of the park, the victim was confronted by a woman who assaulted him by slapping him in the face.

The woman then walked off towards Bath Road. She was accompanied by another man and a small white dog.

The victim of the assault did not sustain any injuries.

Investigating officer, PC Dean O’Dell of Force CID based at Banbury police station, said: “We would urge anyone who might have witnessed the incident in People’s Park to please contact Banbury police via the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.”
