Between approximately 3am and 3.30am on Easter Monday (March 28) two men and two women were arguing at the taxi rank, police revealed today (Tuesday).

One of the men is believed to have been trying to pull one of the women towards a taxi and when her friend tried to intervene she was pushed to the floor.

The 18-year-old victim received fractures to one of her fingers. She attended Horton General Hospital and has since been discharged.

The offender is described as white, about 21-years-old, with short light brown hair and of a large build. He was wearing a purple/burgundy long sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans.

Investigating officer, PC Reece Millar, based at Banbury police station, said he would particularly like to speak to the man and woman who may have witnessed the incident and helped the victim from the floor.

“There was also another woman who spoke to the women and asked them if they were OK while they sat on the steps next to the taxi rank,” PC Millar said.

“We believe that the offender and the victim are known to each other.
