Police have arrested a woman in connection to a road traffic collision in Banbury.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a single vehicle road traffic collision in Banbury.

The collision happened after a grey Ford Fiesta collided with a traffic island on Southam Road, located between the Dukes Meadow Drive roundabout and Hardwick Hill. The incident occurred around 3.25am on Sunday March 28.

Police arrested a 26-year-old woman from Banbury on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the limit and has been released under investigation.

Investigating officer, PC Callum Cooper, based at Bicester police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“I would also ask any motorists who were in the local area around the time this happened to please check any dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist our investigation.
