Witnesses are being sought after a heavy goods vehicle had its windscreen broken during an altercation on the A43 in South Northamptonshire.

The incident took place between 5.20 and 5.30pm on Friday, July 23, on the northbound carriageway of the A43 between Silverstone and Towcester, when the lorry driver spotted a silver Audi A3 being driven in a dangerous manner.

As both vehicles reached a roundabout junction, the lorry driver challenged the other driver about the nature of his driving and both drivers continued along the A43.

At the A43/A5 roundabout, the driver of the Audi pulled in front of the HGV and blocked the carriageway. He then got out of his vehicle and verbally abused the lorry driver before getting back into his vehicle and throwing a glass bottle which smashed the HGV windscreen.

The Audi driver is described as an Asian man, in his mid to late 20s, of a slim build with short black cropped hair and a neatly trimmed beard and moustache.
