Vandals target car in Shipston

The theft of two tyres from a parked vehicle has left a Shipston resident without a car to drive.

Warwickshire Police are looking for information in the theft of two tyres from a black 2011 Vauxhall Corsa parked in the Mill Street car park in Shipston.

The vehicle was also vandalised with long scratches made down the side of the vehicle.

Police were called around 10.15am Monday July 13 to reports of what looked like an abandoned vehicle, but it had actually been stripped of its wheels and vandalised.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The car was vandalised and had its parts stolen between 10am Saturday July 11 and 9am Monday July 13.

The family who own the vehicle and reported the incident to police, also posted an appeal for help on Facebook in an effort to find the thieves. The vehicle had to be towed away.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information that could help with enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 109 of July 13.
