Vandals damage wall at park in Brackley

Vandals have pushed away the newly set blocks in the retaining wall at Brackley Park.

The Croft pedestrian alleyway leading from Pebble Lane to Buckingham Road has been closed for some time as a safety measure due to works required to build the retaining wall.

After a lengthy process, a contractor started work a couple of weeks ago and works were progressing well until vandals hit.

Vandals pushed away the newly set blocks from the wall, which has not only delayed the project but has also increased the cost significantly as work will have to be restored.

The incident happened sometime between 5pm on Wednesday March 17 and 8.30am on Thursday March 18.
