Two teenagers have been arrested following a police appeal for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Banbury Old Town area.

Thames Valley Police Banbury issued an appeal via Twitter following yesterday’s (Monday) assault.The team said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a female was assaulted on White Lion Walk, Banbury this afternoon.

“The incident occurred at approximately 2.40pm.”

They asked for information that might help the investigation to be reported on 101 quoting the crime reference number 43220329316.

Yesterday evening the investigating team said: “Two males under the age of 18 are currently in custody for the assault and other offences. Due to their age we are limited in what information can be passed.”
