Police are appealing for help tracing a missing man from Banbury.
Simon O’Connell, 35, was reported missing from his home on Saturday, August 3.
He is white, 6ft 3ins, large build and has curly black hair. It is currently unknown what clothing he was wearing at time he went missing but he is believed to have a white Hugo Boss sports holdall and an acoustic guitar.
A musician, Mr O’Connell has links to Banbury, to Leamington Spa in Warwickshire and to London.
Inspector John Batty, from Banbury police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who recognises Simon or anyone matching his description to contact officers.
“If you see this appeal Simon, please get in touch so we can ensure you are safe as your family are very concerned.
“Anyone with any information about where Simon may be should contact police on our 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 quoting URN 638 3/8.”
Family and friends Mr O’Connell have taken to Facebook and Twitter to ask for help in securing his safe return under the hashtag #findsimon.
Posting on Facebook, Banbury resident Kelly Grant, said: “He lives in Banbury. He has done a number of music gigs in and around Banbury.
“Any help to find Simon would be very much appreciated. His family, girlfriend and friends are all very worried and just want him home safe and well.”
