Teenage girl assaulted in Banbury - police appeal for witnesses

An appeal has gone out for witnesses after the assault of a teenage girl in Banbury yesterday (Monday).

Thames Valley Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV footage.

The incident occurred in Warwick Road at around 9.30pm on Monday evening. The victim, a teenage girl, was pushed to the floor by the offender.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The offender is described as a man aged in his forties, around 5ft 3ins tall with shoulder length brown hair. He has a brown beard and is of a slim build.

Investigating officer PC James Oliver, based at Banbury police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed this incident or has CCTV or door-cam footage in the area to please get in touch.
