A Shipston man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after a car collided with a cyclist in Shipston.

Warwickshire Police arrested a 22-year-old man from Shipston on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after a car collided with a cyclist in Darlinscote Road, Shipston on Friday morning (January 22). He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The second man arrested was also connected to Shipston after police arrested a 37-year-old from the Stratford area and charged with drink driving. The arrest was made after officers responded to a report of a car in a ditch on the A3400 in Shipston on Friday night (January 22). He will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on February 16.

Six other people were arrested by Warwickshire Police over the weekend on suspicion of drink and drug driving offences.
