The Warwickshire Rural Crime Team posted the following message about the incident on its Facebook page: "One sheep had been torn apart and the other was attacked with such force that it's front leg was missing. The second sheep was taken to a local vets but it didn't survive its injuries.

"It's clear from the injuries sustained that the sheep were not targeted as a source of food by a predator, a domesticated animal is suspected.
