Routine stop and search uncovers Banbury drug stash

Banbury police officers took an amount of recreational drugs out of circulation following an operation at Banbury train station.

On Wednesday, January 15, Thames Valley Police ran a joint operation with the #TaskingTeam ,Banbury Problem Solving Team and colleagues from the British Transport Police.

They were using a passive drugs dog at Banbury train station.

A simple stop and search lead police to a house, which, when searched, contained a large amount of cannabis and over £1000 in cash.

It is not known if any arrests were made in relation to the search.
