Police seize drugs during incident in Brackley car park

Police seized some drugs yesterday, Tuesday August 25, after responding to public concerns regarding usage of a car park in Brackley.

Officers with the South Northamptonshire Police Team detained an 18-year-old man from Brackley in connection to the possession of class B drugs.

He was searched along with his vehicle by police in connection to the incident in the car park in Swift Way, Brackley.

A small amount of cannabis and ketamine seized during the incident.

The offender in the incident was not arrested, but dealt with via an out of court restorative / rehabilitative process with an online programme through Druglink. Failure to complete the course would mean an escalation in sanction.

Officers with the South Northants Neighbourhood Team are also working with Brackley Town Council to reduce the height of the hedges surrounding the car park to reduce its seclusion and allow residents to feel more comfortable using it.
