Police looking for witnesses in arson incident in Bicester

Thames Valley Police are looking for information in an incident of arson in Bicester this weekend.

The fire started in a skip in Wedgwood Road between 3pm and 6pm on Friday September 11.

The fire caused significant damage to the skip and the contents, and is believed to have been started deliberately. The fire was extinguished and no one was harmed.

Investigating officer, PC Ben Lewin, of Witney police station, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, where it is believed that the fire was started deliberately.

“Fortunately no one was hurt during this incident, however I would like to appeal to anyone who believes they may have information that could help with this investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference number 43200286456. You can also make a report online.

“I would also like to appeal to anyone in the area that has access to CCTV to please review it and make a report if there is anything significant captured.

“Alternatively, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
