Gang stole cash and punched victim in assault

Northamptonshire detectives are hunting a grey Vauxhall Vivaro after a gang mugged a 29-year-old man yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

Police said the victim was punched in the face after handing over cash to the gang who approached him on a Brackley footpath.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The occupants of this Vivaro are believed to have been involved in the incident at around 5pm on Sunday (March 14) on a pathway between Swift Way and Humphries Drive.

"The group of males ran off towards a nearby Tesco Express following the incident.

"The vehicle was also seen in Springfield Way, Candleford Close and Pebble Lane and we are asking anybody who was driving in the area to check any dashcam footage they have for a a vehicle answering this description.

"Or, anyone with security cameras or doorbell cameras at their homes, please check to see if the incident, the gang or the vehicle can be seen.
