A person was injured in the assault which happened yesterday evening (Friday). Part of the High Street area of the town was temporarily cordoned off.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman told the Banbury Guardian: “At around 8.40pm yesterday (July 22), we received reports of an incident of assault with injury on Albert Street, Banbury.

“Officers are currently investigating the incident. If anyone was in the area last night and has any information please call 101 and quote reference 43220325115.”
