Police dispersed a group of 20 people gathered at a recreation ground in a village near Banbury.

South Northamptonshire Police officers dispersed 20 people this afternoon from the Astrop Road Recreation Ground in the village of Middleton Cheney.

South Northants Police posted the following message on its Twitter page about the incident: "Where is your child at the moment?

"Parents in #MiddletonCheney I've just dispersed a group of 20 off the Astrop Road Recreation Ground. Please get them home or risk a £200 fine."
