Police catch Banbury person in possession of drugs at a well-known hotspot in Brackley

Police have caught another person in possession of drugs at car park in Brackley.

Yesterday (August 27) police said they had spoken to a 21-year-old from the Banbury area for possession of cannabis.

They did not say whether the person was arrested at the Swift Way car park.

Earlier this week at the same car park, officers with the South Northamptonshire Police Team detained an 18-year-old man from Brackley in connection to the possession of class B drugs.

A small amount of cannabis and ketamine seized during the incident.

The offender in the incident was not arrested, but dealt with via an out of court restorative / rehabilitative process with an online programme through Druglink. Failure to complete the course would mean an escalation in sanction.

Officers with the South Northants Neighbourhood Team said: "Hedges at the Swift Way car park have now cut back allowing for better natural surveillance and hopefully giving residents a renewed confidence to park there."
