Residents of a property in Banbury could be evicted from their home by police.

Thames Valley Police was granted a closure order by Oxford Magistrates last week to prevent anyone from entering the property for three months.

The order is understood to be related to incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Acting Sergeant Jade Hewitt said “We hope that this sends a strong message to all of those people that cause anti-social behaviour.

“Thames Valley Police will use their policing powers to deter this behaviour and protect the vulnerable. “

Anyone who has any concerns regarding anti-social behaviour should call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry line on 101.

If you do not want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
