Police arrest man from Banbury carrying large knife in town centre
Police today (Friday) arrested a man from Banbury on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, drugs and proceeds of crime offences.
The Banbury Tasking Team carried out a proactive stop-check of the 18-year-old man who was acting suspiciously in a street in the town.
A spokesman said: "At 10.40am theTasking Team carried out a proactive stop-check of a male acting suspiciously in a street in Banbury town. Tucked in his waistband was the knife (pictured).
The man remains in custody.
