At around 6.20pm on Thursday, February 4, the victim, a 24-year-old man, was walking from Easington Road onto St Georges Crescent when he was attacked by a man and his dog before they both ran off.

The victim sustained injuries from the attack and required hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a white man in his late twenties, around 5ft 11ins tall with medium length brown hair, short brown stubble and of regular build. He was wearing a black coat which came down to his thighs and grey jogging bottoms.

The dog is described as a large white, shorthaired dog and was wearing a harness.

Investigating officer PC Alexander Gibb, based at Banbury Police Station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or recognises the descriptions above.

“Anyone who has information should contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, or make a report online, quoting the reference 43210049092.

“Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
