A man claiming there were problems with a household water supply targeted an elderly couple, stealing cash.
The incident happened on Saturday July 9, at a property in Deene Close, Adderbury.
A man knocked on the victim’s door at about 9pm in an agitated state. He told the occupants that they needed to shut off their taps and clear items from beneath their sink.
The couple, in their 80s, let the offender in and followed out his instructions.
Whilst they were distracted with the water supply, the offender searched the bedrooms of the property and made off with a quantity of cash from a wallet in the house.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his mid 30s to 40s, 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, clean shaven but with dark hair. He was wearing dark coloured clothing and a hat.
