Pensioner has bag snatched in Banbury

Series of bag thefts continue as police appeal for information after another reported incident.

Banbury police are appealing for witnesses after an 80-year-old woman has here bag snatched in daylight theft.

The victim was walking down the canal footpath towards Morrisons at around 11.40am on Tuesday, October 18.

A man approached her from behind and snatched her handbag from her shoulder and ran off towards the footbridge over Upper Windsor Street. The victim did not sustain any injuries during the incident.

This incident is being linked to a series of snatch thefts in this location and in other nearby locations.
