Harry Dunn's family has called for Anne Sacoolas to be 'swapped' for Prince Andrew after the United States made a formal request to question the royal.

The Northamptonshire campaigners believe a deal could be struck with the US for the woman accused of killing the teenager to return to the UK in exchange for the Duke of York talking to US investigators over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.

Radd Seiger, the family's spokesman, tweeted: "By all means, USA, we all agree over here, but not until you extradite Anne Sacoolas.

"You don't get to demand people go over there without reciprocating.

"No one is above the law and if you break the rules while abroad, you stay and deal with the consequences."

Harry, 19, died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with Sacoolas' car, which she has admitted was on the wrong side of the road, near Croughton on August 27, 2019.

The American driver initially co-operated with police but then claimed diplomatic immunity before flying back to the US a few weeks later.

The teenager's family have campaigned for her to return but an extradition request from the UK was rejected by the US and Sacoolas refuses to come back.

The US has reportedly filed a mutual legal assistance (MLA) request to the Home Office for Prince Andrew to be questioned as a witness in an inquiry into disgraced financier Epstein.

This has prompted the campaigners to reiterate their calls for an agreement to be made for both high-profile cases to be resolved unilaterally, having joined forces with Epstein's alleged victims.

Harry's father, Tim Dunn, said: “This is a no brainer to me. No-one is above the law no matter who you are.

“Andrew is clearly wanted over in the US to help achieve justice for the victims of Epstein.

“We need Mrs Sacoolas back here so that we can get justice and closure for the loss of our son.”

A spokesman for the British Government said it does not comment on MLAs and Prince Andrew is yet to comment.
