Thames Valley Police have charged Lewis Abubakar, aged 29, of no fixed abode, with drug supply offences, escaping lawful custody, possession of criminal property, criminal damage and breach of bail in Banbury.

Abubakar will appear before Oxford Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday May 27.

He had been wanted by police for more than a month after an escape from custody in Banbury.

He was arrested earlier this week in Abingdon.

The arrest is in connection with an incident on April 15 when a man who was under arrest on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs absconded from the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.
