Man assaulted by two drivers in Banbury road rage incident - Police appeal for witnesses

Police have appealed for witnesses to an assault on a man in Banbury on Monday evening.

The assault happened during an altercation at the junction of Sainsburys on the Oxford Road following a dispute over driving. It happened at around 8pm.

A man got out of his vehicle and assaulted the victim, who was riding a motorcycle and wearing motorcycle gear, by punching him in the face.

A second man then got out of another car and also assaulted the motorcyclist. The victim’s motorbike was also kicked over.

The first offender is described as an Asian man in his late twenties. He was driving a silver Mercedes Benz. The second offender is also described as an Asian man in his late twenties. He was driving a grey Volkswagen Golf.

The victim sustained bruising to his face but did not require hospital treatment.
