Man arrested in connection to axe attack in Gaydon

Warwickshire Police responded a report a man had been assaulted outside a property on Church Road in Gaydon, with an axe.
Specialist officers responded around 9.25am on Friday July 24 to the incident.

Hide AdIt is reported that a man approached the victim, a man in his 20s, and threatened him with what was believed to be an axe before hitting him to the chest.
Police arrested a 25-year-old man from Gaydon on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and seized an axe in connection with the incident.
The suspect arrested has since been released on police bail.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 114 of July 24.

Hide AdThe victim suffered an injury to his chest and was treated by the ambulance service. The victim was struck with the handle area of the axe.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance to the scene in Church Road, Gaydon.
On arrival they discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene.
