On Friday Thames Valley Police rural crime taskforce located the stolen horse trailer near Banbury. It had been stolen recently from Aylesbury.

Today (Sunday) the team Tweeted: “Following the seizure of the stolen horse trailer yesterday, the crime taskforce identified two suspects and asked officers at Dyfed Powys (police) to arrest them following info that they were at the ferry port.

“The taskforce travelled to Pembrokeshire today to deal with the males.”

The trailer will be returned to its rightful owner.

It is thought a change in trailer towing rules last year to include younger drivers is responsible for a rise in trailer thefts.
