Harry Dunn family disgusted that Anne Sacoolas 'was promoted' after Northamptonshire crash

The American woman accused of killing Harry Dunn has reportedly been promoted by the CIA since the tragedy in Northamptonshire.

Anne Sacoolas was also already at the White House to celebrate her work when the teenager's family met Donald Trump, according to the Sunday Express.

Harry's mother Charlotte Charles said: “We respect the work the Americans do at RAF Croughton. We know they keep us and people all around the world safe.

"But to hear that Anne Sacoolas was already in the White House apparently being feted, and we were just invited as an afterthought, confirms this has never been about us.

“It’s all been about Trump and Anne Sacoolas herself. It is just inhumane, disgusting treatment.”

Sacoolas' promotion was reportedly fast-tracked after she came back to the US claiming diplomatic immunity over the fatal crash near Croughton last year.

Harry, 19, died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with Sacoolas' Volvo, which she has admitted was on the wrong side of the road, on August 27.

She initially co-operated with police but then told officers she had diplomatic immunity before flying back to the States a few weeks later.

The American woman is now managing a 100-strong overseas section, which monitors foreign activity and is based at CIA's headquarters in Langley, Virginia,

Sacoolas was then at the White House with the president in October when Harry's family were campaigning in the US, which they believe was used as an opportunity for them to meet.

Family spokesman Radd Seiger believes the revelations are further proof her diplomatic immunity claim is invalid because her status would mean she was not just a spouse.

"Anne Sacoolas not just a spouse, not just a spy, but a deep under cover active spy," he tweeted on Sunday.

"So never had diplomatic immunity at all under the 1995 and 2001 agreements.

"Being feted in the White House after Harry Dunn’s death the day we were there. I will be demanding answers today."

The US State Department has rejected the Home Office's extradition application following her being charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
