Front counter at Banbury Police station now closed amid coronavirus outbreak

The closures have occurred to encourage people to self-isolate and to keep police staff safe during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

The six police locations to close their front counters include Banbury, Abingdon, Bicester, HQ South Kidlington, Oxford and Witney.

Front counter staff will be re-deployed to support the force in other areas of the business.

Only those needing to answer bail or registered offenders that need to sign on can still visit Milton Keynes, St Aldates, Reading, Slough and Aylesbury during normal opening hours. These front counters will be closed for all other services.

The front counters at the police stations will be closed to the public effective today until a later date.
