Fifteen people have been arrested for immigration offences after being found in the back of a lorry in Banbury.

Police were called by the driver of the heavy goods vehicle at about 6.30am after he heard banging coming from the trailer.

The lorry, which came from France, was stopped by police next to the Wildmere industrial estate just off the M40. Officers found 15 adult men and women inside.

Those arrested are being held in police custody before their transfer to immigration services.
