Hide AdAshley Lewis, 27, of The Avenue, Bloxham was ordered to undertake 180 hours of unpaid work for driving a Seat car without insurance on Beaumont Road, Banbury on September 10, 2019. Lewis was fined £40 for willfully obstructing a police officer in the execution of her duty and he was convicted of driving without a licence; there was no separate penalty. Lewis was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £90 and court costs of £100. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
Lee Marshall Sutton, 48, of Jubilee Court, Banbury pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a man where he believed violence would be used or provoked. The incident happened in Banbury on June 2. Sutton was fined £160 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
Christopher James Taylor, 32, of Cotswold Crescent, Chipping Norton was given a 12 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months after pleading guilty to possession of a machete in Cotswold Terrace, Chipping Norton on July 31. The machete was forfeited to be destroyed and Taylor was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £128 with court costs of £85.

Hide AdKenyata Moboto Bowen, 44, of Hearthway, Banbury was given further time to pay an outstanding fine of £7583.48 imposed on March 4, 2015.
Rose Butler, 40, of Cromwell Road, Banbury was given further time to pay an outstanding fine of £3735.30 imposed on March 24, 2015.
Miles Robertson, 25, of Verney Road, Banbury was given further time to pay an outstanding fine of £256.57 imposed on May 9, 2017.

Marsha Williams, 49, of Hornton Drive, Banbury, was given further time to pay an outstanding fine of £850 imposed on September 19, 2006.

Hide AdPaul John Woodward, 36, of Cromwell Road, Banbury was given further time to pay an outstanding fine of £2219 imposed on March 23, 2015.
Mark Alexander Pearson, 42, of Britannia Road, Banbury pleaded guilty to drink driving in a Land Rover in Castle Street, Banbury on August 29. He had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath against a legal limit of 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. Pearson was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 months.
A Banbury parent was fined a total of £300 for failing to send their children to school regularly. The parent pleaded not guilty but was convicted by magistrates. A victim surcharge of £30 was imposed along with an order for costs of £2,000.

Hide AdJoshua James William Barrie, 23, of Causeway, Banbury pleaded guilty to drink driving in a Vauxhall Corsa in George Street, Banbury on July 25. He had 55 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Barrie was fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 with £50 court costs. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 14 months. Barrie also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence. No separate penalty was imposed.
Sam Jackson, 26, of Park Road, Banbury pleaded guilty to driving in a Ford Focus car in Banbury on May 17 with excess cannabis in his blood. He was ordered to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work. Jackson was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years.
