Court Report - Bloxham man pleads guilty to trespass with intent to steal and other cases at Oxford Magistrates' Court

A Bloxham man has been ordered to undergo an alcohol recovery programme after pleading guilty to offences against village businesses.

Miles Anthony Oxlade, 33, of Golby Road, Bloxham pleaded guilty to trespassing at Bloxham Fish Bar and the Co-op store in Bloxham High Street with intent to steal on January 30.

Oxlade also pleaded guilty to trespassing at The Joiner’s Arms, Bloxham and stealing four bottles of spirits/alcohol on the same day. Magistrates imposed a community order requiring Oxlade to undergo a nine-month treatment programme for alcohol dependency. He was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and to pay compensation of £100.

Harry Roberts, 18, of Town End Road, Faringdon pleaded guilty to drink driving in a Peugeot 107 in Horsefair, Banbury on June 8. Roberts had 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £85. He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for 12 months. Roberts also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence on the same occasion. No separate penalty was imposed.

Daniel Lukovsky, 45, of Boxhedge Road West, Banbury was fined £220 for exceeding the 70mph speed limit on the A421 Tingewick Bypass on January 3. The speed recorded was 86mph. Lukovsky was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. His driviing record was endorsed with three penalty points.

Radu Dumitras, 25, of Easington Road, Banbury was fined £220 for not having insurance for a vehicle in Banbury on August 7. Dumitras was ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £110 court costs.

Jaguar Land Rover Ltd was fined £220 for using a Land Rover, failing to comply with a declaration under the Statutory Off-Road Notice (SORN) regulations. An order was made for the company to pay £77.50 in vehicle excise back duty and court costs of £90.

Wayne Antony Broadway, 42, of Kensington Close, King’s Sutton, Banbury pleaded guilty to two counts of using a Man TGS HGV vehicle on Main Road, Appleford, on September 2, 2019, when its gross laden weight exceeded the permitted weight. The vehicle’s gross laden weight on each occasion was 32 tonnes. Broadway was fined £158 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 with court costs of £200.

Jason Wickham, 50, of Holly Close, Brackley was fined £100 for exceeding the 70mph speed limit in a Tesla vehicle on the M40 at Beaconsfield on February 23. His speed was 83mph. Wickham was ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.

Ian Allison, 38, of Newland Road, Banbury was fined £40 for breaking the 50mph speed limit while driving a Volkswagon car in Yarnton on January 7. The speed recorded was 61mph. Allison was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and £85 court costs. His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

Bharat Shivan, 31, of Astrop Road, King’s Sutton was fined £220 for exceeding a 40mph speed limit on the A41 at Bicester on January 17. The recorded speed was 47mph. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85. Shivan’s driving record was endorsed with three points.

Walter Antonio Pino-Zarate, 21, of Upper Grove, London pleaded guilty to driving while disquaified in Lord Grandison Way, Hanwell Fields, Banbury on February 2. He was ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work, to pay a £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Pino-Zarate was also diqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

Kier McBean, 28, of Ridge Close, Banbury pleaded guilty to drink driving in a Volkswagon Golf on the B4030 at Enstone on June 27. He had67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. McBean was fined £373 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £37 with £85 court costs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months.
