Burglars steal car, phone and cash after Kingham break-in

Two burglars stole a car and a handbag containing a phone and cash after breaking into a home in Kingham in the early hours of yesterday morning (Wednesday, September 19).

The offenders gained entry to a property in Church Street by using a stone to break the glass in the rear doors at around 6am.

Once inside, they stole a handbag which contained the keys to a grey BMW car parked on the driveway before driving off in the car.

The thieves are both described as white men, between 18 and 20-years-old.

Both are approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of a slight build and clean shaven, dressed in black jeans and black lightweight jackets.

Detective Constable Steven Bates said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any information that could help with our investigation.

“If you have any CCTV cameras or dash-cam footage from this area then please do review it and let us know if you believe anything has been captured.”

“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have been driving a small red car on Church Street at around 6.20am that morning.”
