Breaking - police warn riders about dangerous motorbike use on Banbury estate

Police have issued a warning this afternoon (Saturday) to riders of motorbikes on roads on the Ruscote estate, Banbury.

The warning comes two days after Thames Valley Police officers arrested a 14-year-old boy for riding a moped dangerously around Ruscote Arcade area.

Today the TVP Cherwell team put out a message on social media. They said: “Thames Valley Police are aware of motorbikes are being ridden dangerously around footpaths and parks in the Ruscote Area of Banbury.

"These include, Nuffield Road, Lanchester Drive and Hill View Crescent. Units have been deployed and we are requesting if any are seen riding in such a manner, that you call Police on 999. We will be seizing any motorbikes and dealing with the persons robustly.”
